How to convert square meters to square feet

What is a square foot?
The square foot is used as a measurement of area within the US, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as other countries around the world that use the imperial system of units. It is commonly used to describe the area of floor space (for real estate) or the overall size of an exterior surface or property. What is a square meter?
Otherwise also referred to as 'a square metre' (or 'metre' with British spelling) a square meter is a square which possesses equal sides of one meter. It is often used to measure the area of land in metric-system countries, associated with an adapted standard level. A square meter is equal to 10,000 square centimeters or a little over 10.76 square feet.
To give you an idea of size, large top-loading car windshields are sometimes the equivalent of a square meter. In terms of usage, Uzbeks and Japanese tend to use it extensively just for the square meter.
